Calling all Lincoln Douglas NSDA qualifiers! Want to get a head start on preparing for the National Tournament in mid-June? We're here to help!
During this 3-day camp, you'll participate in 4 mock debates with other national tournament qualifiers and receive an in-depth topic analysis on the National Topic— Resolved: Violent revolution is a just response to political oppression. At the end of the camp, the instructors will give each debater a personalized debrief from what they saw during the camp.
What is expected of me, the student debater?
Students are expected to come with prepared cases on the National Topic and a readiness to work on their cases throughout the camp.
What does the schedule look like?
The schedule will roughly look like this. The number of students will influence the final schedule. Please set aside those times and be ready to debate!
Who are the instructors?
Darius and Christian are top National Collegiate debaters who were previous champions at Cal Invitational UC Berkeley, Scarsdale Invitational and 2019 Newark Round Robin Invitational LD.
What is the format?
The entire camp will be held online. We will use Motif for lectures, drills, labs, etc. There will also be a Slack group for chat and a shared class Dropbox. Each session will be recorded and available to all the students after the camp is over.
